NYSICA brings you timely, topical presentations each month from leading experts representing a variety of professional disciplines - all with a focus on improving and expanding the skills and knowledge of today's Internal Control practitioners.

Member meetings are held on the 4th Thursday* of the month. Meetings are announced in the monthly member e-newsletter and online at www.NYSICA.com. Check the website for details and to pre-register for CPEs. Members interested in earning FREE CPE credits can pre-register to receive their CPE certificates at the meeting.

Board of Director meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of every month.

* November and December meetings are combined and typically occur on the first Thursday in December.

Our Mission

The mission of the New York State Internal Control Association is to benefit and support the State’s Internal Control Officers, Internal Auditors, and their respective staffs by:

  • Sharing resources and best practices for the development and implementation of internal control programs by individual agencies, authorities and commissions;
  • Advocating for internal control training programs;
  • Providing support and guidance in Internal Control matters;
  • Serving as a liaison/intermediary between agencies, authorities, commissions, and the control agencies - the Division of the Budget and the Office of the State Comptroller; and
  • Serving as a member of the Internal Control Task Force (ICTF), developing training materials for State agencies, to heighten awareness of the need for, and value of internal controls.
